Money for Nothing

Big Money in politics allows a small, wealthy elite to buy influence, deepening a sense that the system is rigged and eroding trust in government. Politicians spend a disproportionate amount of time catering to the billionaires, corporations, and special interests that dominate campaign messaging.

Musk gave at least $73 million to federal political committees last year. $10M each to two MAGOP Congressional PACS, $5M to Mafia Don’s Make America Poorer, Sicker and Dumber PAC and $45M to his own America PAC.  Meanwhile, the MAGOP National Committee has nearly $100M financial advantage over the Dems entering 2026.  The Dems are roughly $3.5M in the red.  Accounts associated with the Don have stockpiled nearly $400 million, even though he is Constitutionally ineligible to run again.
